About Nicole
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT 46217). I have 14 years
experience in the mental health field as well as several years in early childhood
education. I am also a Certified EMDR Therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and
Hakomi Graduate. My work over the years has been with a variety of people in
various settings, ranging from crisis intervention and acute psychiatric diversion
to an alcohol and drug treatment center and a transitional housing program for
homeless families. I have been in private practice for the last three years, working
primarily with adult individuals and couples.
I am interested in locating and strengthening my clients’ inner resources and
passionate about helping them to find an authentic and meaningful connection to
themselves and others. My style is empathic, interactive and collaborative. I draw
from a variety of approaches depending on the needs and capacities of my clients.
These approaches may include: mindfulness experiential work, cognitive behavioral
skills, EMDR, hypnosis, solution focused or narrative therapy. I provide a safe
environment for healing and transformation.
Sensitivity to people of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds is important to me and I work with with people of all sexual orientations.
